Estas institui\u00e7\u00f5es, reconhecidas pela sua relev\u00e2ncia nacional e internacional, incluem a <strong>Universidade do Minho<\/strong>, <strong>Universidade do Porto<\/strong>, <strong>Universidade de Aveiro<\/strong>, <strong>CITEVE \u2013 Centro Tecnol\u00f3gico das Ind\u00fastrias T\u00eaxtil e do Vestu\u00e1rio de Portugal<\/strong>, <strong>CTIC \u2013 Centro Tecnol\u00f3gico das Ind\u00fastrias do Couro<\/strong>, e <strong>CEiiA &#8211; Centro de Engenharia e Desenvolvimento de Produto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>O CeNTI tornou-se um ator-chave na liga\u00e7\u00e3o entre a universidade e a ind\u00fastria, desenvolvendo, testando, prototipando e escalando solu\u00e7\u00f5es de nanotecnologia para o mercado. Especializa-se na funcionaliza\u00e7\u00e3o de superf\u00edcies e na aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de tecnologias de eletr\u00f3nica impressa em diversas ind\u00fastrias de materiais em Portugal, como t\u00eaxteis, pol\u00edmeros, couro, papel, vidro, cer\u00e2mica, pedra natural, bet\u00e3o, corti\u00e7a e madeira.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m do seu impacto nacional, o CeNTI distingue-se entre os fornecedores europeus de I&amp;D pela sua especializa\u00e7\u00e3o na funcionaliza\u00e7\u00e3o e \u201csmartiza\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d de materiais, impulsionando o desenvolvimento tecnol\u00f3gico e a sua aplica\u00e7\u00e3o no mercado. Ao integrar solu\u00e7\u00f5es de nanotecnologia, o CeNTI tem desempenhado um papel crucial no desenvolvimento de revestimentos inovadores, novas tecnologias interativas, como sistemas de ilumina\u00e7\u00e3o, e sistemas avan\u00e7ados de sensores para uma ampla gama de aplica\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inova\u00e7\u00e3o na Tecnologia Serigr\u00e1fica<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Uma das \u00e1reas mais inovadoras do CeNTI est\u00e1 na tecnologia de serigrafia. Com um vasto conhecimento derivado do CITEVE, o CeNTI expandiu as suas capacidades tecnol\u00f3gicas para integrar a serigrafia plana e rotativa com solu\u00e7\u00f5es avan\u00e7adas de impress\u00e3o digital. Em particular, a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o da serigrafia em t\u00eaxteis industriais e solu\u00e7\u00f5es h\u00edbridas para t\u00eaxteis de moda (como T-shirts) posicionou o CeNTI como um pioneiro em t\u00eaxteis inteligentes e funcionais em Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>Para apoiar a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o cont\u00ednua e as aplica\u00e7\u00f5es industriais, o CeNTI investiu em instala\u00e7\u00f5es modernas, incluindo um novo Laborat\u00f3rio Serigr\u00e1fico, onde a automa\u00e7\u00e3o e a precis\u00e3o s\u00e3o fundamentais. Este laborat\u00f3rio conta com a mais recente tecnologia StencilMaster STM CtS, da <strong>SignTronic<\/strong> permitindo uma imagem de alta resolu\u00e7\u00e3o, juntamente com o equipamento de impress\u00e3o serigr\u00e1fico de alta precis\u00e3o THIEME LAB 1000, da <strong>Thieme<\/strong>. Estas tecnologias, equipadas com alinhamento autom\u00e1tico de quadros e substratos, com c\u00e2maras CCD, garantem extrema precis\u00e3o e efici\u00eancia no processo de impress\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ao utilizar a tecnologia CtS de \u00faltima gera\u00e7\u00e3o da SignTronic AG, o CeNTI atinge uma resolu\u00e7\u00e3o real de 2400 dpi nos quadros, permitindo a reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o precisa de detalhes finos, sensores, sistemas eletr\u00f3nicos e outras aplica\u00e7\u00f5es funcionais avan\u00e7adas. Industry<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CeNTI \u2013 Centre for Nanotechnology and Smart Materials was founded in 2006 as a result of a collaboration between three universities, two technological centers, and an institute for new technologies. These institutions, recognized for their national and international relevance, include University of Minho, University of Porto, University of Aveiro, CITEVE \u2013 Technological Centre for Textile and Clothing Industries in Portugal, CTIC \u2013 Technological Centre for the Leather Industry and CEiiA &#8211; Centre for Engineering and Product Development.<\/p>\n<p>CeNTI has become a key player in bridging the gap between universities and industry, developing, testing, prototyping, and scaling nanotechnology solutions for the market. It specializes in surface functionalization and the application of printed electronics technologies across various material industries in Portugal, including textiles, polymers, leather, paper, glass, ceramics, natural stone, concrete, cork, and wood.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond its national impact, CeNTI stands out among European R&amp;D providers for its expertise in functionalizing and \u201csmartizing\u201d materials, driving technological development and its application in the market. By integrating nanotechnology solutions, CeNTI has played a crucial role in the development of innovative coatings, new interactive technologies such as lighting systems, and advanced sensor systems for a wide range of applications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Innovation in Screen Printing Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of CeNTI\u2019s most innovative areas is screen printing technology. With extensive knowledge derived from CITEVE, CeNTI has expanded its technological capabilities to integrate flat and rotary screen printing with advanced digital printing solutions. In particular, its application of screen printing in industrial textiles and hybrid solutions for fashion textiles (such as T-shirts) has positioned CeNTI as a pioneer in smart and functional textiles in Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>To support ongoing research and industrial applications, CeNTI has invested in modern facilities, including a new Screen Printing Laboratory, where automation and precision are key. This lab features the latest StencilMaster STM CtS technology from SignTronic, enabling high-resolution imaging, along with the high-precision THIEME LAB 1000 screen printing equipment from Thieme. These technologies, equipped with automatic frame and substrate alignment using CCD cameras, ensure extreme precision and efficiency in the printing process.<\/p>\n<p>By utilizing SignTronic AG\u2019s latest-generation CtS technology, CeNTI achieves a true resolution of 2400 dpi on the screens, allowing for precise reproduction of fine details, sensors, electronic systems and other advanced functional applications.
