Foi com enorme prazer que o board da RuyDeLacerda recebeu Filipe Morais (phd), Professor de Governo da Sociedade, Lideran\u00e7a, \u00c9tica e Responsabilidade, Sustentabilidade (ESG) e Estrat\u00e9gia Empresarial, h\u00e1 quase duas d\u00e9cadas na HENLEY Business School<\/strong> (Universidade de Reading-Reino Unido), para um \u201cmatch\u201d entre a Academia e uma PME Familiar.<\/p>\n

Como em tudo na vida existem pontes de uni\u00e3o entre as partes e no caso de Filipe Morais, desde logo o facto de ser do Porto, ter fam\u00edlia em Le\u00e7a da Palmeira, ser um seguidor da ACEGE e dos seus valores nas Lideran\u00e7as Empresariais, pela aposta na Sustentabilidade e o interesse especial nas Empresas Familiares e suas Lideran\u00e7as!<\/p>\n

A import\u00e2ncia do legado foi logo um ponto em an\u00e1lise tendo o nosso fundador, Ruy de Lacerda, iniciado a sua brilhante carreira empresarial em 1950 e transmitido \u00e0 2G, e esta para a 3G, o sentido humano da rela\u00e7\u00e3o na empresa, os valores com regras naturais, as pessoas como centralidade de uma organiza\u00e7\u00e3o, a forma\u00e7\u00e3o qualitativa e cont\u00ednua da equipa, at\u00e9 a forma de nos apresentarmos perante os nossos Stakeholder\u2019s (parceiros de neg\u00f3cios e clientes) dentro dos valores da \u00c9tica Comercial.<\/p>\n

Hoje a RuyDeLacerda \u00e9 uma empresa de base Familiar com gest\u00e3o partilhada profissional, que aposta em diversos vetores, desde a Concilia\u00e7\u00e3o Trabalho-Fam\u00edlia e na certifica\u00e7\u00e3o EFR-Empresa Familiarmente Respons\u00e1vel, nos seus Protocolo Familiar, C\u00f3digo de \u00c9tica, no Compromisso Pagamento Pontual, na Sustentabilidade e C\u00f3digo de Governo ESG (pr\u00e1ticas Ambientais, Sociais e de Governance), tudo como o legado recebido do nosso fundador\u00a0 e actualizado no tempo, mas onde o Humanismo, as Pessoas e a \u00c9tica s\u00e3o pilares de atua\u00e7\u00e3o ao longo dos tempos, a comemorar em 2024 os 75 anos de uma exist\u00eancia positiva, de reconhecimento e de atratividade e reten\u00e7\u00e3o dos seus colaboradores.<\/p>\n

Filipe Morais (phd) afirmou sobre a visita \u00e0 RuyDeLacerda: \u201cMuito obrigado, uma vez mais, pela calorosa recep\u00e7\u00e3o na RuyDeLacerda. Fiquei impressionado com o Humanismo, a Integridade e Humildade (humildade de ouvir e de aprender, sem se sobrepor ao outro) da Lideran\u00e7a da RuyDeLacerda, mas tamb\u00e9m com a busca da inova\u00e7\u00e3o e da excel\u00eancia nos produtos e servi\u00e7os. Os alicerces da RuyDeLacerda s\u00e3o profundos e saud\u00e1veis. Voltarei ao contacto para escrever um caso de estudo sobre voc\u00eas – se me deixarem!<\/em> \u201c<\/p>\n

E muitos mais foram os pontos abordados neste encontro de excel\u00eancia onde o \u201cfoco empresarial\u201d deve estar centrado no seu \u201cmodelo de neg\u00f3cio\u201d, na procura da \u201cexcel\u00eancia\u201d para se atingir o \u201csucesso\u201d, quando no dia a dia se v\u00ea esta procura a ser desvirtuada, pelo sucesso r\u00e1pido para atingir a excel\u00eancia! ; no mundo empresarial a experi\u00eancia da vida no ch\u00e3o da f\u00e1brica como um factor de conhecimento fundamental ; nos sucessos e fracassos e as linhas de estrat\u00e9gicas claras ; a l\u00f3gica dos 3P\u00b4s\u00a0 numa boa Lideran\u00e7a e na Sustentabilidade (Profit-Planet-People<\/em>) ou para a consist\u00eancia organizacional dos Neg\u00f3cios (“Policies, Processes and Procedures”), sendo que uma pol\u00edtica inclui um conjunto de processos que por sua vez integram um conjunto de procedimentos.<\/p>\n

Bridging University and a Family Business<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was with great pleasure that the board of RuyDeLacerda welcomed Filipe Morais (PhD), Professor of Government, Leadership, Ethics and Responsibility, Sustainability (ESG), and Business Strategy, who has been at Henley Business School (University of Reading, UK) for almost two decades, for a “match” between University and a Family Business.<\/p>\n

As in everything in life, there are bridges of connection between the parts, and in Filipe Morais’ case, it started with his roots in Porto, family in Le\u00e7a da Palmeira, being a follower of ACEGE and its values in Business Leadership, its commitment to Sustainability, and his special interest in Family Businesses and their Leadership!<\/p>\n

The importance of legacy was immediately addressed, with our founder, Ruy de Lacerda, starting his brilliant business career in 1950 and passing on to the second generation, and then to the third generation, the human aspect of relationships within the company, values with natural rules, people as the central focus of an organization, qualitative and continuous team training, and the way we present ourselves to our Stakeholders (business partners and clients) based on Commercial Ethics.<\/p>\n

Today, RuyDeLacerda is a family-based company with professional shared management, focusing on several areas, including Work-Family Balance and the EFR (Family Responsible Company) certification, Family Protocol, Code of Ethics, Commitment to Timely Payments, Sustainability, and ESG Governance Code (Environmental, Social, and Governance practices). These are all part of the legacy we received from our founder and have been updated over time, but where Humanism, People, and Ethics remain pillars of our actions. In 2024, we celebrate 75 years of positive existence, recognition, and attractiveness in retaining our employees.<\/p>\n

Filipe Morais (PhD) shared his thoughts on the visit to RuyDeLacerda: “Thank you once again for the warm welcome at RuyDeLacerda. I was impressed by the Humanism, Integrity, and Humility (the humility to listen and learn, without overshadowing others) of RuyDeLacerda’s leadership, but also by the pursuit of innovation and excellence in products and services. The foundations of RuyDeLacerda are deep and healthy. I will reach out again to write a case study about you \u2013 if you allow me!”<\/p>\n

Many more topics were discussed in this excellent meeting, where the \u201cbusiness focus\u201d should center around the \u201cbusiness model,\u201d striving for \u201cexcellence\u201d to achieve \u201csuccess,\u201d without the distortion of seeking quick success to reach excellence. In the business world, life experience on the shop floor is a key knowledge factor. Successes, failures, and clear strategic lines were also discussed, as well as the logic of the 3Ps in good leadership and sustainability (Profit-Planet-People), or for organizational consistency in business (“Policies, Processes, and Procedures”), where a policy includes a set of processes, which in turn integrate a set of procedures.<\/p>\n
