Ainda assim, muitas empresas continuam a adotar pr\u00e1ticas de manuten\u00e7\u00e3o reativa, ou seja, interv\u00eam apenas quando ocorre uma falha.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 primeira vista, esta abordagem parece poupar recursos, mas a realidade mostra o contr\u00e1rio : os custos ocultos desta pr\u00e1tica podem ser muito mais elevados do que se imagina.<\/p>\n

Ao evitar investir em planos de manuten\u00e7\u00e3o preventiva ou preditiva, muitas empresas acreditam estar a reduzir despesas. No entanto, ignoram o impacto real das paragens n\u00e3o planeadas. De acordo com um estudo da Deloitte, o custo m\u00e9dio de uma paragem n\u00e3o planeada pode ultrapassar os 260 mil d\u00f3lares por hora, dependendo do setor.<\/p>\n

By avoiding investment in preventive or predictive maintenance plans, many companies believe they are reducing expenses. However, they ignore the real impact of unplanned downtimes. According to a Deloitte study, the average cost of an unplanned stoppage can exceed $260,000 per hour, depending on the sector.

“What seems like immediate savings quickly turns into a hole in the budget when a line stops without warning. And it usually stops at the worst possible moment.”<\/p>\n

“Reactive maintenance is always a bad bet because the company loses control. And when you lose control, you lose efficiency, safety, and money,” Andrea reinforces.<\/p>\n

Unlike reactive maintenance, preventive or predictive maintenance allows interventions to be planned at strategic times, with less impact on operations. It also helps extend equipment lifespan, optimize human resources, and avoid unpleasant surprises.
With the support of current technologies, such as sensors, IoT, and artificial intelligence, it is increasingly easy to anticipate failures and act before it\u2019s too late.<\/p>\n
